4.9.4.1. Create API user in ServiceNow
It is necessary to create a ServiceNow user for use by the IRM-ServiceNow integration. This user runs the Business Rules defined by the ServiceNow Integration Service and is used by the ServiceNow Integration Service to make ServiceNow REST API calls.
The following is a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a new Planet IRM API user in ServiceNow.
 In ServiceNow, open Users
Under System Security Users and Groups, open the Users menu item.

 Click the New button
This will open the appropriate form to create a new user for the IRM ServiceNow Integration Service

 Configure the fields as in the screenshot example
Note: The email can be something like ‘support@planetassoc.com’ or other.
Click Update which will save and close the the User Record Locate and Edit the new User record to assign it to specific Roles:

Assigning the administrator role to the user is a start, but the role needs to be further specified in detail.

Click the ‘ Edit’ button next to the Roles

within the list (collection):

select the ‘ admin’ entry and move it to the right

select the ‘ tags_admin’ entry and move it to the right.

Click the ‘ Save’ button to return to the new user record.

Now in the top right, click the ‘ Submit’ button to save the user record.
