The IRM Library is a set of Planet-supplied data that is available to Planet customers.

All sub-libraries support a notion of packaging, by which related objects are grouped together for purposes of version and release management. Some packages are distributed to all customers, while others may be customer-specific. For distribution to on-premises customers, the non-customer-specific parts of the entire Library are packaged up into a single zip file, and customer-specific data is in a separate zip file. A customer Admin IRM User can deploy these zip files via the Global Console Library Update feature.
For SaaS customers, update of the Library is handled automatically - no customer action is needed.
