Object Grid and other Grids

 

By default, the focus is on the Object Grid after the Site is loaded, as well as when using Global Keyboard Shortcuts to switch to the Object Grid area. The basic keyboard actions in the Object Grid work with the clipboard and row selection. These keyboard actions apply  to the main Object Grid and to all grids that allow row selection. Selection and movement on the rows goes through the so - called cursor, which we also move through the keyboard.

 

Here is a detailed use of cursor movement and row selection via the keyboard:

Ctrl + ↑	Move cursor up the grid without selecting the row.
Ctrl + ↓	Move cursor down the grid without selecting the row.
↑ ( up arrow )	Select the next row above.
↓ ( down arrow )	Select the next row below.
Space bar	The row the cursor is on becomes selected. Pressing the Space bar does NOT deselect all rows, just adds the current row to the selection.  Multiple selection is  available when a checkbox is shown in first column of grid.
Ctrl + Space bar	This is similar to pressing the Space bar and can be used to unselect the current row selection.
Shift + ↑ ( up arrow )	This allows the user to add the next row above tothe current selection and can be used to make multiple row selections.
Shift + ↓ ( down arrow )	This allows the user to add the next row below to the current selection and can be used to make multiple row selections.
Shift + Space bar	Allows user to toggle current row selection on/off
A (keyboard key)	Acts as a toggle to select or deselect all rows.
Context menu key	Displays the context menu for the current row selections.

 

Working with the clipboard:

Ctrl + C – Copy to the buffer zone those rows or cells that are selected.

Ctrl + X – Cut those rows or cells that are selected.

Ctrl + V – Insert rows or cells from the buffer zone.

 

There is also a selection of rows and cells with a mouse and keyboard. This works similarly to the keyboard shortcuts, replacing Space bar with Click. All of these actions are used only for those grids that support the ability to use a multiple selection. Also in all these actions the cursor is put on that position where there was a click.
