4.3.10.7. Replacing PathwaysThis function is used to replace the assigned Pathway Type of a pathway instance with a different Pathway Type.
The only restriction is that the new Pathway must have a large enough cross-sectional area to be able to hold all the Cables currently in the Pathway being replaced. Note that this means that a larger Pathway can be replaced by a smaller Pathway as long as the larger Pathway wasn't too filled.
IRM only allows replacing a Pathway with another Pathway of the same Pathway Class, for obvious reasons. If an attempt is made to use a different Class, a warning popup dialog explains the error:

![]() After the replacement operation is done, an additional popup dialog displaying the replacement results is opened. The dialog displays any information, warning or errors about the replacement operation and is only for informational purposes. In this example, the replacement was successful, so no additional result information is displayed:
