4.11. Security Classification ManagerSome organizations may require special/custom security classificaitons. To support this need administration-level users are able to extend IRM security classifications with user defined values. This is possible via a dedicated manager-type dialog that is available in the main application screen menu of extendable enumeration managers:
![]() Note that any changes made within this manager also impact User Policies in the Global Console, as the user policies list any user-defined security classification(s).
The Security Classification Manager dialog itself is a standard Manager-type dialog that lists the security classifications in a data grid, with a User Added flag showed as column data, along with the usual Add, Edit and Remove action buttons:
![]() The editor dialog allows specifying only the name of the Security classification and this applies only to the user-defined ones.
![]() As is common for most IRM user-defined configuration-type objects, only the user that created the classification (owner user) and admins have the ability to remove it. Changes made in this dialog can primarily seen in the Managed Object General tab Properties dialog, as well in different statistic views that support filtering data by Security classification
