The IRM Fiber Mountain integration is used to monitor and display events from the Fiber Mountain sensors and apply them to the correlated IRM equipment and cable objects.
The first step in setting up the Fiber Mountain integration is to verify that the Fiber Mountain integration feature has been installed and licensed in your IRM instance. This is done in the Global Console, specifically in the About page:
If the Fiber Mountain integration app is installed then it will be shown here in the bottom of the Software Versions dialog:
The next step in setting up the Fiber Mountain Integration is to verify that it has been licensed and configured within IRM, which is also done in within the Global Console:
Expand the Administration section in the Global Console's main screen and click on License:
Next, scroll down to the license Features and confirm that the Fiber Mountain integration license is installed:
Note that this license is just for the IRM integration of Fiber Mountain and is not connected in any way with Fiber Mountain's license of their products.
Now that it has been confirmed that Fiber Mountain is installed and licensed, open the IRM Web Client to continue with the configuration of the Fiber Mountain Proxy Source (covered in the following subtopics).
