The ServiceNow proxy contains Proxy Varieties which are used to identify what class of objects can by synchronized with IRM Objects and are also used to set the correlation rules and identification fields within each variety.
To access the Proxy Variety Properties dialog:
Open the SyncOp Manager
Click on the Proxy Source Manager button to list Proxy Sources
Click the Edit Actions button for the ServiceNow proxy source entry.
Click the Proxy Varieties tab.
Select an entry to see the current Field aliases and identity field settings
The user can add new field aliases or identify fields using the relevant + button to add additional fields from the IRM data model.
The user can edit existing entries using the pen icon
The user can remove an entry by clicking in the red X.
To Edit the Correlation rules for the selected Variety, click on the Pen icon in the Action column of the Proxy Varieties grid:
Using the Correlation strategy tab, the user can now specify which identity fields will be used when correlating the ServiceNow object with the IRM Object. In the above example:
If there is a match with serial num OR assetnum1 then object will be correlated.
If the user wanted both values to match for correlation, then they could click on the AND button to change the logic of the rule.
New Rules or Groups of rules can be created using the Add Rule button or Add Group button.
