In addition to inserting different types of decorative objects in Design World, IRM supports additional actions for Design World drawing objects by way of context menu options, such as editing an object's Properties, copy-pasting the object, etc. Most of these are standard and work similar as with other objects:
The Scale option, however is somewhat specific - selecting it opens an additional subdialog that enables the user to specify a scaling factor and aspect ratio, as well as some additional options:
When using the Scale context menu function, the user can scale the object in several different ways:
By scale factor, while maintaining aspect ratio
User checks the Constrain Aspect Ratio check box
User can enter a scale factor in either X or Y Scale and the other value is automatically adjusted.
To a specific size without maintaining aspect ratio:
User chooses option to set size
User un-checks the Constrain Aspect Ratio check box
The user can set the horizontal size and vertical size of the image independently by setting the unit of measurement and by entering the new size. The image is resized to the values entered.
To a specific size and maintain image aspect ratio
User chooses option to set image size
User checks the Constrain Aspect Ratio check box
User can set the measurement size for X or Y image size.
When user enters a value in one of the fields, the other field is automatically updated to maintain the correct aspect ratio.
