The following are the steps (displayed in the screenshot(s) below) necessary for an Arc object to be inserted and selected in the Design World. The rightmost (highlighted) Arc displays the selected result object created under step 4 and its vertices (controls):
Click on the Create Arc icon in the Design World toolbox
The mouse cursor changes into crosshair indicating it's in drawing mode
Click anywhere on the Canvas to set the starting point of the first Arc segment and move the mouse to the desired location. Click again once with the left mouse button to draw the basic Arc line:
Click once again with left mouse button to set the curve length and rotation of the Arc. This completes the Arc drawing:
Click once more with the left mouse button to select the newly created Arc, as displayed in the screenshot below. Note that there are several small controls or handles along the curve of the Arc object and outside of it, which (when in selected mode) enable editing the Arc (moving, scaling, rotating). When used (clicked), each of these controls change color to red. For example, the little circle icon with a dot in it located in the center of the Arc object enables moving the Arc around in the Design World without affecting its size or rotation:
Another example is the yellow rectangular controls located at the endpoints of the Arc object. The screenshot below displays the resulting view of the Arc when the control on the right endpoint is clicked and dragged to the right side to shorten the Arc and wide the gap:
The screenshot below displays the result view of the Arc when the little circle icon located at the right side of the Arc is clicked and dragged to the left side in order to rotate the Arc:
The screenshot below displays the result view of the Arc when the little rectangular icon located at on the right-most or the one on the left-most point of the Arc is clicked and dragged horizontally in order to decrease the width of the Arc:
The screenshot below displays the result view of the Arc when the little rectangular icon located at on the top-most or the one on the bottom-most point of the Arc is clicked and dragged vertically in order to decrease the height of the Arc:
