The Live objects tab within each MAC defines all active objects that are participating in the MAC. The left side displays the list of Super Categories, while individual MAC objects are listed in the grid on the right side upon click on the appropriate Super Category.
All object can be accessed and edited individually by clicking on the Name hyperlink, which opens their Properties dialog. The following is a brief overview of Super Categories supported by MAC:
Typed Objects
(Equipment, Cable, Pathway, Software, Circuit)
Defines all objects recorded into the MAC along with their current status.
Users
Defines all Users that are associated with the MAC by either assigning the User to a Live object or by removing a user from a Live object
Help Objects (Port, Slot, Plug)
This section list all helper objects for each live object in the MAC and is used to show changes associated with ports and connections on equipment or cable plugs and media on cables.
Other then the data grids, this tab contains additional buttons under the Super Categories list:
Highlight All / Unhighlight All toggle buttons and
a dropdown that shows a list of Highlight States, including None.
Highlight All causes all the objects in the MAC to be put into the selected Highlight State. Note that this only sets the highlight state, it does not attempt to do a locate operation, nor cause the objects to be selected.
