4.2.2.2. Special visualization dialogs

 
These types of dialogs usually provide a combination of controls, such as tree, grid, field properties and graphical layouts for the current object. The graphic part of the dialog usually enables managing the view (zoom, navigation) and the graphically represented objects (Add, Edit, Remove). The following are some examples of schematic dialogs in IRM with a basic description and additional references:
 
Dialog
Description
Elevation
a special dialog for managing Equipment objects in racks, chassis and cabinets.  This dialog is accessed by selecting the Elevation option from context menus for the appropriate type of Equipment. For more information regarding the Elevation dialog, click on the following topic - Rack Elevation.
Butterfly Diagram
a commonly used schematic diagram that displays the Maintenance Hole from a top - down view, the Butterfly Diagram dialog that can be accessed via the Maintenance Hole Properties dialog and also the Maintenance Hole's context menu in the Design World and Object Grid. Dependency View
a special dialog that is used to display a read-only schematic diagram of the selected Equipment and all its connections based upon the Ports on the Equipment and any Ports associated with its Slots, sub-compontents, etc. For more information about the Dependency View dialog, click on the following topic - Using Dependency Views to Show Connectivity.
