Keyboard shortcuts provides part compliance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 AA to support persons with limited ability to use a mouse to control a computer system and to comply with government information system accessibility governance and standards.
In order to fulfill these requirements, Planet implemented keyboard shortcuts that allow users to operate substantial parts of IRM without using a mouse. Due it its graphical nature, it is difficult to provide 100% functionality without using a mouse. Beside improving accessibility, these shortcuts can make some operations quicker and more convenient for users willing to learn them.
The initial version of the keyboard shortcuts feature covers Global Zones, Object Grids and some Dialogs.
The following sections detail the hotkeys that are currently implemented in the IRM Web Client.
