IRM includes a quick and simple Object Grid CSV export capability allows the user to quickly export data without the need to create more complex Data Export configurations..
To use this feature, the user sets the desired columns for the desired type of object in the Object Grid, sets any kind of Object Grid filters to get to the desired list of objects, then runs the "Object Grid CSV Export" operation from the appropriate Object Grid drop-down menu:
This feature operates without any additional dialogs and results in a CSV file that has the first row matching the column headings in the Object Grid, also in the same order. The row data shows the data from the Object Grid, starting with the first page and also in the same order shown in the Object Grid. The page number that the user is viewing in the Object Grid doesn't affect the output, nor does any selection that may be active.
For example, let's assume the following use case scenario - the user has filters that include all the Cable objects located in the currently opened Area and further filters the list to show only the Copper Material Category Cables (by simply by double-clicking on the appropriate Category in the C&T tree). Next, we want to have a record, a report of that list for some temporary use, but later continue to work with the original list. This is possible using the Quick Data Export feature, which quickly generates the appropriate .csv file and allows the user to cancel out the filtered Object Grid view and continue as needed. The alternative would be to save the Filter, for later use, but this way is convenient for cases when the user needs some quick data grid output that can be later analyzed if needed.
