After completing the Device Sync Ops, the Patch Cable Sync Ops comes into play to handle patch cables and their connectivity information within the CommScope network.
This operation obtains all the relevant cable and connection details, ensuring that the right connections are accurately configured on the CommScope patch panels within IRM.
By performing the Patch Cable Sync Ops, you ensure that all your devices are correctly interconnected, promoting efficient data flow and communication throughout your network.
The following shows what happens when you filter the Alert Sources in the Alert Manager dialog and just show CommScope ImVision Controller Alerts. A list of events will be generated that will show you what happened along with a description. On the object tab, you'll find out which controller, which panel, and which port that event happened at.
NOTE: When unexpected connections are reported by the CommScope Controller, the IRM user has the ability from within the Alert Manager dialog to either confirm the change into IRM or generate a Work Order which is sent back to the originating Controller for the original connection to be reinstated.
