The Cable Properties dialog contains an additional tab - Test Results, which allows a Cable's test results to be displayed. The tab displays a grid that lists all test results related to the selected Cable instance. The grid also contains several action buttons which enable adding, editing and removing test results. The following images display 2 dialogs in IRM that contain the Test Results tab - Cable Properties and Circuit Properties dialog. The two tabs are the same, except they're displaying test results for different objects.
Test Results tab in the Cable (or Circuit) Properties dialog
This tab is used to store and view Cable or Circuit test data. The Test Results tab in the Cable Properties or Circuit Properties dialog is used to manage the basic test results for the end to end Cable or Circuit path. It displays a grid that lists previous test results, along with additional information, like the test date and the tested length for the Cable or Circuit.
The grid also contains three action buttons that enable adding, editing and removing test results:
- Add a New Test Result - opens the Test Result Editor sub-dialog with default parameters already entered. Once all field values are entered, click on the Save button closes the Test Result Editor sub-dialog, saves the newly created Test Result and displays it as the last row entry in the grid. The Cancel button closes the Test Result Editor sub-dialog without making any changes to the grid.
- Edit Test Result - opens the Test Result Editor sub-dialog for the selected row entry, displaying its test values and allowing them to be edited. Once the appropriate fields have been edited, clicking on the Save button closes the Test Result Editor sub-dialog, saves the changes made to the selected Test Result and displays them in the grid. Click on the Cancel button closes the Test Result Editor sub-dialog without making any changes to the grid.
- Remove Test Result - deletes the selected test result row entry from the grid.
