- opens the Filter Manager sub-dialog that enables defining and managing user filters for different object types.
- pastes the last object from the Clipboard (first in the Clipboard list in the Quick View panel) to act as a filter on the current view in the Object Grid. This is convenient in cases when the Object Grid needs to be filtered by a certain criteria without creating a new Filter. This feature is useful when the objects that Object Grid needs to be filtered by are already contained in the Clipboard as there is no need to search for them in the C&T tree.
- a toggle button, has 2 different states: AND and OR - clicking on it changes the button from one state to another. This is useful in cases where multiple filters are applied to the Object Grid, as it enables specifying whether all conditions (filters) need to be met (when set to AND) or only one of them (when set to OR).
- this is a disabled button (has no function), but rather serves as a simple text label indicating the following are filters applied to the Object Grid. As displayed in the screenshot below, when a filter is added, it's displayed as a new tag / button on the right side of the Filtered By: "Filter Name". The filter can be simply deactivated by click on the x button in the right side of the filter tag:
- Quick Filter - enables filtering the Object Grid by a selected column.
This is done in a few steps:
Select the column name to filter by from the drop-down list on the far right side. Click on the drop-down list displays all column names in the currently selected Object Grid tab. In the screenshot above, the Name column (fieldname) is selected.
Enter the text string to filter the data by in the Search... text input field. For example, if "DX" is entered in the text box, this would filter out all Equipment instances that have a Name containing the "DX" text string.
Click on the search icon.
This will further filter the Object Grid view and the resulting data listed will match the (text) criteria specified in the Search box for the specified column name.
